When Kim Gili became pregnant with her second child, the Californian mother had some intuitive feelings related to pregnancy. Gili had a natural birth at home, and everything was going well, until the moment when…
Throughout her pregnancy, Gili was sure that she would have a little girl. She and her husband Travis spent nine months preparing for the girl Knud and choosing a name for her.
In July, during a natural birth, Gili, the mother could not believe it, looking at her baby.
“I just looked between his legs and expected something different. I was in utter shock — I was shocked,” she told Inside Edition. “We had girls’ names; we went round and round about girls’ names.”
Gili believed that her child would be a girl, her expression was very surprised when he saw that the boy was. The moment of awe was photographed by photographer Suzanne Gill, and later Gili posted it on his Instagram and described the shocking event on his Santa Cruz Family Doula Collective blog.
“After a lifetime of dreaming about having babies, 9 months of such a strong feeling that we would have a girl, this is the moment we discovered Theo’s sex,” she wrote.
Guiley had previously miscarried a little girl the couple named Hazel. After the miscarriage, they wanted to keep the gender a surprise.
